If you wish to apply online for the passport in India then read the guidelines and follow some steps and fill the Passport details as required and submit it online. After payment, you get the receipt of successful transaction details. After approval, you receive your passport at home. How to fill online form for Passport
Step 1. You need to register online on Passport Seva portal to submit the form. For Register online visit the official government passport website
Step 2. If you register successfully then log in with user id and password
Step 3. Choose the option of Link for fresh Passport or Reissue passport
Step 4. Fill the all required information as you asked in the text box and click on submit button.
Step 5. Click the "Pay and Schedule Appointment" link on the "View Saved/Submitted Applications" screen to schedule an appointment.
Online Payment has been made mandatory for booking appointments at all Passport Seva Kendras/Passport Offices.
Online Payment can be made using any one of the following modes:
- Credit/Debit Card (MasterCard and Visa)
- Internet Banking (State Bank of India (SBI) and Associate Banks and Other Banks)
- SBI Bank Challan
Step 6. Click the "Print Application Receipt" link to print the application receipt containing Application Reference Number (ARN)/Appointment Number.
Note: Carrying a printout of Application Receipt is no longer required. An SMS with your appointment details is also accepted as proof of appointment during your visit to the Passport Office.
Step 7. Now you have visited the nearest passport office with your original document like Id Proof and address proof where appointment has been booked.
Cautious:
- Only emergency/medical cases and pre-approved categories may visit Passport Seva Kendra without an appointment. Service will be provided at the discretion of Passport Seva Kendra in-charge/Passport Officer.
- In case of minor applicants (below 4 years of age), carry the recent passport size photograph (4.5 X 3.5 cm) with white background.
- Resubmission of application form is required, in case the applicant does not visit the Passport Seva Kendra within 90 days from the online form submission.
